Tantalum-niobium alluvial ores generally do not require crushing and grinding due to the relatively good dissociation of the mineral monomers, and are screened to remove lumps and pebbles before entering the selection process, followed by roughing. Coarse crystal tantalite - columbite ore is roughly selected by jigger or spiral concentrator (including rotary spiral chute), and the roughing concentrate is selected by shaking table; fine crystal tantalite - columbite ore is roughly selected by spiral chute or shaking table, and the roughing concentrate is selected by shaking table; tantalum-niobium slime is roughly selected by centrifugal separator or multi-layer tipping bed, and the roughing concentrate is selected by belt chute or trough Tantalum-niobium ore slime is roughly selected by centrifugal concentrator or multi-layer tumbler, and the roughly selected concentrate is selected by belt chute or trough. Re-election - flotation - re-election or re-election - flotation process coarse and fine-grained materials using re-election, sludge flotation. Before flotation, generally use small-diameter cyclone or centrifugal concentrator to desliming, and then use alkylsulfonated succinate as trapping agent, sodium silicate and scratch acid as adjusting agent, flotation under the condition of pH2-3, flotation concentrate with Holman sludge shaking table - cross-flow belt chute selection; or styrenic phosphonic acid as trapping agent, sodium fluorosilicate, lead nitrate as adjusting agent, flotation under the condition of pH6. Flotation is carried out under the condition of pH6, and the flotation concentrate is selected by vibrating belt chute or cross-flow belt chute, or hydroxamic acid and transformer oil (2:1) can be used as the trapping agent, and sodium hydroxide and sodium silicate can be used as the adjusting agent to carry out flotation under the condition of pH8-8.5, and the flotation concentrate is added with hydroxamic acid and transformer oil, and oxalic acid is used as the inhibitor, and the concentrate is selected under the condition of pH2.5-3. According to the above methods, tantalite or columbite concentrate can be obtained. The selection index of this process is high, but the content of tantalum and niobium in the fine sludge removed is close to the grade of the original ore, the consumption of chemicals is large, and the production cost is high.
Re-election - Magnetic Separation - Re-election Process
Coarse-grained materials are re-election. The combination of magnetic separation and re-election is used for fine-grained materials and sludge. This process is characterised by high separation efficiency for fine-grained tantalite and columbite, but the tantalum and niobium minerals in the ore must be weakly magnetic.
